Clothing Your Children



It's lovely to see well-dressed children, especially small children who can look both cute and fashionable.

Babies have no say in what we dress them in, so we can be as extravagant or as simple as we want!

Specialist shops abound nowadays, with prices ranging from reasonable to ridiculous. Only the parent is aware of a small child wearing designer clothing. Whether the clothes are inexpensive and cheerful or expensive and chic, babies and toddlers will still make a mess while eating, crawling, and doing other things that small children do!

Clothing must be functional regardless of how much or how little you spend. Anyone who has had the pleasure of dressing a wriggling baby or toddler knows that the buttons and zips must be placed correctly. When dressing or undressing your child, time is of the essence, so fiddly buttons and poorly placed zips and ties are a no-no!

Easy access via poppers, particularly in baby's trousers, is a brilliant invention. Consider how long it takes to get kicking legs into a pair of pants!

Babies grow at an incredible rate, so you don't have to worry about clothes wearing out; they are usually outgrown and still in excellent condition. This is ideal if you plan on having more children or if you have a smaller baby to pass clothes on to. If you are the recipient of another parent's generosity, this is unquestionably a money saver.

Toddlers are wonderful little people who can still be dressed cutely - until they suddenly become independent and choose their own clothes. You can forget about looking stylish and fashionable when they are this age; toddlers have no color coordination or dress sense - be warned!

At the very least, a size larger blazer or trousers so that the child "can grow into them," as this can cause embarrassment. Be diplomatic and reserved about your child's growing abilities.

The wonderful adolescent years! - A wardrobe nightmare. Just when you thought buying a school uniform was simple, you learn otherwise. Your teen suddenly needs designer shoes, trainers, and trousers, and everything they wear must have the latest logo emblazoned on the front or back.

Buying labels and sewing them on will not work; teenagers are difficult but not easily duped.

At the end of the day, buy what you can afford and make sure the clothes are reasonably durable and properly put together.

Dressing smaller children should be practical; putting a pretty dress on a crawling baby seems silly because they will probably come to a halt if they keep putting their knees on the dress! When it comes to dressing teenagers, birthdays and Christmas come in handy for purchasing expensive clothes or trainers as gifts; this can often be a good compromise.

Trends for teenagers change like the wind, so while your child is young, enjoy dressing them up in colorful, tasteful clothes that you have chosen; they won't have to worry about losing their street cred!
