Old School Looks

 

We've discovered countless ways to "improve" our self-image. These methods could include makeup, hair dye, breast implants, clothing, or anything else that can alter your appearance.

These aren't all necessary in my opinion, but who am I to say? These are some really cool inventions.

Have you ever watched a movie from the 1960s, 1970s, or 1980s and laughed? This article, or more specifically, glasses, was inspired by that. Wow! They had no sense of style! I suppose they did for their time, but by today's standards, those magnifiers are revolting! People wore glasses because they had to, not because they looked good.

Today, you can see girls and guys wearing flashy glasses. Here's some advice from yours truly: They don't have a prescription! That's correct. They wear them to project a certain image. Glasses are a fashion statement that previous generations would not have considered. So, my question is, weren't they looking for an alternative years ago? Contact lenses would have made watching 1970s movies a LOT less painful.

What will people say about us in 20 or 30 years, now that we've said this? We are not arrogant or naive enough to believe that our style is the best it could be.

That is equivalent to claiming that our technology can no longer advance! Did they think they had it all figured out in the sixties? Questions to ponder keep the mind active, no matter how trivial they may be. So stay alert and marvel at these ridiculous wonders with me!
